Privacy Policy for XP Navigator

Last Updated: February 23, 2026

Granite Ridge Labs ("we," "our," or "us") provides the XP Navigator mobile application. We are committed to protecting the privacy of our users, particularly the riders and members of the National Pony Express Association.

  1. Information We Collect

XP Navigator is designed as an offline-first utility tool.

    • Location Data: The app requires access to your device's GPS (Precise Location) to display your current position on trail maps.
    • Local Processing: This location data is processed locally on your device only. It is used to render your "blue dot" on the map and calculate distances to trail stations.
    • No Server Uploads: We do not collect, store, or transmit your location data, name, email, or any other personal identifiers to any external servers.
  2. Third-Party Sharing

  3. We do not sell, trade, or share any user information with third parties. The app contains no advertising, no third-party analytics (such as Google Analytics or Firebase), and no tracking "pixels."

  4. Children’s Privacy

  5. XP Navigator does not knowingly collect any personal information from children under the age of 13. Because the app does not transmit data to a server, it is inherently compliant with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA).

  6. California Privacy Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

Although Granite Ridge Labs does not meet the revenue or data-volume thresholds of the CCPA, we respect the principles of the law:

    • Right to Know: We do not collect personal information.
    • Right to Delete: There is no data stored on our systems to delete.
    • No Sale of Data: We do not sell any data.
  7. Data Retention

  8. Since all data stays on your device, we have no access to it. If you uninstall the app, any locally cached trail preferences or settings are permanently deleted from your device.
